International Cesarean Awareness Network (ICAN) of Baltimore - A non-profit organization whose mission is to improve maternal-child health by preventing unnecessary cesareans through education, providing support for cesarean recovery, and promoting Vaginal Birth After Cesarean (VBAC). Monthly meetings are free and open to everyone.

Maryland Friends of Midwives (MFM) - A grassroots organization which protects and supports all forms of midwifery, educates the public about the midwifery model of care and works to increase access to midwifery services.

Maryland Birth Network (MBN) - Promotes mother-friendly maternity care, encourages informed health care decisions, and strives to improve our community’s birth culture.
